Welcome to Captured by Lins

My name is Linsay Dunn and I am the person who is discovering & developing a love for photograpahy standing behind the lense. Born and raised in rural NSW, now residing in Charters Towers QLD, looking to further my passion of capturing unsoliciated happiness and pure joy. 

As a photographer, I find immense joy in capturing the beauty of genuine moments. There’s something special about the way the natural surroundings—whether it’s golden hour, a rustic building, or peaceful gardens — these settings serve as the perfect backdrop for authentic, heartfelt connections. I love watching families interact naturally, away from distractions, where the love and laughter flow freely. Each smile, glance, and embrace is real, unposed, and raw, which is what makes my work so fulfilling. It's not just about taking pictures; it's about preserving memories that reflect who they are in their truest form. Being a part of that process is incredibly rewarding.

If you were to ask me what sets me apart from other photographers, I honestly couldn't pinpoint just one thing. The photography market is full of incredibly talented professionals. To truly stand out, it’s not enough to simply create beautiful images that reflect each person’s personality. It’s about being a photographer who can connect with and understand their subjects—reading their natural comfort levels and allowing them to feel at ease. With children, especially, it's about nurturing them through the process, giving them space to be themselves rather than forcing them to cooperate. Being efficient and providing fast turnaround time for galleries is also a priority for me when being engaged as your photographer.

"Linsay was punctual in her arrival (much better than some of our family members), which then allowed the rest of us to sit and chat which in turn, made us feel comfortable and at ease. She was courteous, friendly and incredibly approachable throughout our session. Linsay was incredibly organised and methodical without being ‘bossy’.
